SUMMARY:Was ist ein Kontext? Kulturwissenschaftliche Perspektiven aus Theologie und Religionswissenschaft
DESCRIPTION:Der Begriff „Kon­text“ gehört zu den zen­tralen Begrif­f­en der Geistes‑\, Kultur‑\, Sozial- und Reli­gion­swis­senschaften. Zugle­ich bleibt häu­fig unklar\, was genau unter einem Kon­text ver­standen wird. Ist Kon­text der his­torische\, soziale\, materielle oder kul­turelle Hin­ter­grund eines Phänomens? Entste­ht Kon­text erst durch Inter­pre­ta­tion? Welche Rolle spie­len Medi­en und Mate­ri­alien bei der Her­stel­lung und Verän­derung von Kon­tex­ten? Und wie bee­in­flusst das jew­eilige Kon­textver­ständ­nis wis­senschaftliche Forschung? \nIns­beson­dere in der Interkul­turellen The­olo­gie und Reli­gion­swis­senschaft wird der\nBegriff häu­fig ver­wen­det\, um die Ein­bet­tung religiös­er Prak­tiken\, Diskurse und Wis­sens­for­men in kul­turelle\, gesellschaftliche und his­torische Zusam­men­hänge zu beschreiben. Gle­ichzeit­ig zeigen aktuelle Entwick­lun­gen in den Medi­en­wis­senschaften\, dass Kon­texte nicht nur gegeben sind\, son­dern durch medi­ale Prozesse\, tech­nis­che Infra­struk­turen und kom­mu­nika­tive Prak­tiken kon­tinuier­lich erzeugt\, verän­dert und neu ver­han­delt wer­den. \nIn dem Work­shop soll daher der Begriff des Kon­textes selb­st zum Gegen­stand der Reflex­ion gemacht wer­den\, um seine Bedeu­tung für aktuelle Forschung­spro­jek­te zu disku­tieren. \nOrgan­i­sa­tion und Leitung:\nProf. Dr. Clau­dia Jah­nel (Uni­ver­sität Ham­burg)\, Prof. Dr. Ste­fanie Burkhardt (Uni­ver­sität Ham­burg)\, Dr. Simon Wies­g­ickl (FAU Erlan­gen-Nürn­berg) \nAblauf\nFre­itag\, 23.10.2026\n11–15 Uhr: Erste Work­shoprunde (Gorch-Fock-Wall 7\, Fach­bere­ich Evan­ge­lis­che The­olo­gie UHH)\n17.00–19.30 Uhr: Abend­ver­anstal­tung (Impulsvorträge zum The­ma „Kon­text“ von Andreas Nehring\, Ursu­la Baatz und Michael Biehl mit Book Launch „Reli­gion– Macht–Kultur“ und Sek­temp­fang\, St. Ans­gar-Haus\, Ham­burg) \nSam­stag\, 24.10.\,\n9–13 Uhr: Zweite Work­shoprunde (Gorch-Fock-Wall 7\, Fach­bere­ich Evan­ge­lis­che The­olo­gie UHH) \n  \nIm Work­shop stellen Pro­movierende und Post­docs aus den Fäch­ern Interkul­turelle The­olo­gie und Reli­gion­swis­senschaft ihre aktuellen Forschung­spro­jek­te vor. Im Zen­trum ste­ht dabei nicht primär der Forschungs­ge­gen­stand\, son­dern die Frage: „Wie ver­ste­he ich Kon­text in meinem Forschung­spro­jekt?“ \nDie Teil­nehmenden sind ein­ge­laden\, in kurzen Präsen­ta­tio­nen (ca. 10–15 Minuten) zu erläutern: \n\nWelch­er Kon­textbe­griff ihrer Forschung zugrunde liegt\,\nwelche Kon­texte für ihren Unter­suchungs­ge­gen­stand rel­e­vant sind\,\nwie „Kon­text“ method­isch und the­o­retisch erfasst wird\,\nwelche Her­aus­forderun­gen oder Fra­gen sich aus der Beschäf­ti­gung mit dem\nKon­text ergeben.\n\nPro­movierende und Post­docs\, die gern die Frage nach dem Kon­text für ihr eigenes aktuelles Forschung­spro­jekt reflek­tieren und gemein­sam disku­tieren wollen\, reichen bitte ein kurzes Abstract (200–500 Wörter) ein\, aus dem her­vorge­ht\, an welchem Pro­jekt gear­beit­et wird und wie das The­ma „Was ist ein Kon­text?“ reflek­tiert wer­den soll. \nWir laden ins­beson­dere auch inter­na­tionale Nach­wuchs­forschende zu Ein­re­ichung und Präsen­ta­tion ein. SUMMARY:(Con)tested Knowledge: Production\, Formation\, and Deconstruction
DESCRIPTION:The International Academy of Practical Theology invites to the Biennial Conference 2027 to Tübingen\nKnowl­edge is mul­ti­fac­eted: it is pro­duced in many places\, it has many dif­fer­ent con­texts\, fol­lows dif­fer­ent rules\, and it is cre­at­ed and shared among indi­vid­u­als\, groups and soci­eties. At the same time\, pre­vail­ing under­stand­ings of knowl­edge have often been shaped by Euro­cen­tric epis­te­molo­gies that are his­tor­i­cal­ly entan­gled with colo­nial and impe­r­i­al pow­er struc­tures. Fem­i­nist\, eco­log­i­cal\, post- and decolo­nial schol­ar­ship has there­fore empha­sized the need to inter­ro­gate dom­i­nant epis­temic frame­works and to attend to mar­gin­al­ized forms of know­ing and wis­dom that emerge from dif­fer­ent his­tor­i­cal and social loca­tions.
